Memorial Service
A memorial service on Sunday August 26th, at
the Jet Center, Aurora, Airport, Aurora Oregon was attended by
an estimated 600-700 people. Guests were greeted by a jazz
band and the service opened with warbirds in a missing man
formation while a lone piper from Tualatin Fire and Rescue
played. After memories from family and close friends,
punctuated by planes taking off and landing in the background,
Jody Wiley accepted a plaque from the FAA for Dave's outstanding
service in safety and education. The service closed as two
Mooneys and a Sherpa provided a second aerial salute.

Stories in
Celebration of Dave's Life
Dave touched pilots throughout the world and we know many of
you have stories to tell about his influence. The family
has asked that you share your stories. Plans are to
collect these and include them with the Taylorcraft into an
exhibition of these two legends of the area. As you
complete your short stories, please email them to us at this
site rather than directly to Dave's personal email address.
They'll be collected, organized and forwarded to the family and
posted here for all who loved him to read and remember. To
make it easier to include the stories in the memorial, please
keep them brief. You may, of course, send as many
different stories as you like.

Our Sentiments

for the loss of a true friend. These too will be collected
and forwarded to Dave's family and friends in the aviation
community. Send

Our Deepest Sympathies to the friends and family of Scott
Forsberg
Scott, 52, a commercial pilot from Arizona that
shared a love of flying since boyhood, was also in the plane at
the time of the accident. Our hearts go out to all that
knew and loved him.
